Quicklook Chat, a product of Quicklook LLC

Terms of Service

Effective October 28, 2026

These Terms of Service are a contract between you and Quicklook LLC for Quicklook Chat. Quicklook LLC is a Washington company. The Beaverton address below is a mailing address. If you do not agree, do not create an account, connect a website, or install the widget.

1. The agreement

“You” means the person who accepts and the business that person represents. Creating an account requires a checkbox. That acceptance is stored with the account. People you invite are your responsibility, and their use is use by you.

These terms cover Quicklook Chat on this website, the portal, and the widget. The quicklook.dev terms cover that website only. The one-hundred-dollar cap on those terms does not replace the cap in section 13 for this product. A signed agreement that says it controls over these terms will control for the subject it covers. These terms are the agreement for self-serve Quicklook Chat.

The Privacy Policy is part of these terms. The quicklook.dev privacy policy is not.

2. The service

Quicklook Chat lets a business connect a public website, install a chat widget, and have an assistant answer visitors from pages on that site and from live reads of what the site is offering. Staff can read conversations, pause the assistant, and reply themselves. A study reads the homepage and a bounded set of other pages and writes short notes. It does not archive the site or store the catalog.

We do not promise that every page will be read, that every answer will match the site, or that a lead will convert. There is no service-level agreement. Internal targets are not a commitment to you.

The assistant is software. It is not an employee, a licensed professional, or an agent who can bind you or us. An answer is not an offer, a quote, or a contract unless a person at your business confirms it.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to agree for the business. Accounts use email, a password, email verification, and a texted code to a mobile number in the United States or Canada. You are responsible for the account, the people you invite, and the settings you choose. Tell us at support@quicklook.dev if you believe the account is compromised.

Creating an account does not start a charge. A paid subscription is a later step, and the price is shown before you pay.

4. Your website and your visitors

If you connect a website or install the widget, you represent that:

  • You control that website or you have permission to install the widget and to let us read its public pages.
  • Connecting the site is your instruction to read those public pages for the assistant, including with an isolated browser when a plain read shows nothing, and to look for a same-site data feed when a listing still cannot be read. We honor robots.txt Disallow.
  • You will tell your visitors, in your own privacy notice, that the chat uses AI and that a service provider processes the chat.
  • You will not hide or contradict the in-widget notice that the assistant is AI and can be wrong.
  • You will give visitors any other notice the law requires where they live.
  • You are responsible for conversations your staff read or reply to, and for how you use leads, including email and telephone marketing rules.
  • A subscription covers one organization and one connected website.

Visitor personal information submitted through your widget is processed to provide the service you configured. You decide the purposes of that chat. We do not sell that information or use it for our own advertising. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You will not, and you will not let anyone else:

  • Break the law, or violate someone else’s privacy or intellectual property.
  • Use the service for anyone under 18, or knowingly collect information from children.
  • Submit protected health information, payment card numbers, government identifiers, or other highly sensitive information into the chat or the portal.
  • Use an answer as the sole basis for a medical, legal, financial, credit, insurance, employment, housing, or other decision that the law treats as consequential.
  • Offer the service as an emergency-response system.
  • Mislead a visitor into believing a person is speaking when the assistant is speaking, or into believing an answer is a confirmed offer.
  • Resell or white-label the service as a competing multi-tenant product.
  • Probe, scan, or attack the service or another tenant, bypass a limit, or overload the service.
  • Connect a website you are not allowed to read, or ask the assistant to operate on a site you do not control.
  • Use the service to develop or distribute malware, or to send unlawful messages.

We may investigate and suspend access when we believe these rules were broken.

6. AI outputs

AI OUTPUT CAN BE INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR OUT OF DATE, INCLUDING PRICES, AVAILABILITY, HOURS, AND INVENTORY. YOU AND YOUR VISITORS MUST CONFIRM ANYTHING IMPORTANT WITH THE BUSINESS BEFORE RELYING ON IT. OUTPUT IS GENERAL INFORMATION, NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

You are responsible for the instructions, goals, and site-skill edits you save, and for the public pages you told us to read. We may refuse or stop a use that creates legal, security, or safety risk.

7. Your content

You keep your website, your account content, and the facts about your business. You give Quicklook a limited license to host, process, transmit to the providers named in the Privacy Policy, and display that content to your authorized users and to the visitor in that conversation, only to provide the service. The license ends when the content is deleted, except copies in backups until they expire, and except aggregate statistics that do not identify a person or your business.

We do not use your content to train a Quicklook foundation model, and we do not use one customer’s content to answer another customer’s visitors. Feedback you send us may be used to operate and improve the service without any duty to pay you.

8. Privacy

The Privacy Policy describes what we collect, how long visitor chats are kept, and how to make a request. You will not submit personal information you do not have a right to provide. Questions about your visitors that you can answer from the portal are yours to answer; we will help with information we still hold when you or the visitor asks.

9. Fees, renewal, and cancellation

SUBSCRIPTIONS RENEW AUTOMATICALLY, MONTHLY OR YEARLY, AT THE PRICE SHOWN BEFORE YOU PAY, UNTIL YOU CANCEL. CANCEL IN THE CUSTOMER PORTAL OPENED FROM THE BILLING PAGE. FEES ALREADY PAID ARE NOT REFUNDED EXCEPT WHERE THE LAW REQUIRES A REFUND.

Prices are in United States dollars and do not include taxes. Checkout does not add sales tax. You are responsible for taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our net income. This is not tax advice.

Annual billing is one year paid in advance at the price shown before you pay, which is 15% less than twelve monthly charges. Each paid subscription covers one website. Allowances are monthly. Unused allowance does not roll over. When a reply allowance or the monthly limit on model cost is reached, the assistant stops until the next period or you change plans. Reaching an allowance does not, by itself, add an extra charge.

If a renewal charge fails, paid access can continue for about 7 days and then stop. When a subscription is canceled and Stripe reports it ended, paid access stops. If it is set to cancel at the end of a period already paid, it continues until that time. Creating an account does not authorize a charge.

We may change fees by posting them in the product. A change does not alter a period you have already paid. If you do not agree to a fee that will apply at the next renewal, cancel before that renewal.

10. Intellectual property

We own the service, the software, the widget, and our trademarks. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your own business during a paid period, subject to these terms. You may use the site-skill text we draft about your business to run your assistant. You may not copy the service, remove the AI disclosure, or remove our marks from the widget.

If you believe the service is using your copyrighted work in a way the law does not allow, write to support@quicklook.dev with the work, the location, your contact information, and a statement that you are authorized to act. We may disable a study or a widget while we review the notice.

11. Third-party services

The service depends on Google, Stripe, and the website you connect. Their outages, terms, and content are outside our control. A link to another site is not our endorsement. Your CRM, after a lead is delivered, is yours.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE, THE SOFTWARE, AND ALL AI OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” QUICKLOOK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE ASSISTANT HAS READ YOUR WHOLE WEBSITE, THAT AN ANSWER MATCHES YOUR PAGES, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL PRODUCE LEADS OR SALES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, the disclaimers apply to the fullest extent the law allows.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUICKLOOK AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, COVER, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OR BUSINESS, INCLUDING FROM AN AI ANSWER THAT IS WRONG, A MISSED OR LOST LEAD, OR A WEBSITE THAT COULD NOT BE READ, EVEN IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. IF YOU PAID NOTHING, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

This cap does not limit liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies. It does not limit your duty to pay fees or your duty to indemnify us. The one-hundred-dollar cap on the quicklook.dev terms applies to that website and does not raise or lower this section for Quicklook Chat.

14. Indemnity

You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Quicklook LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your website, your configuration of the assistant, a visitor’s or consumer’s claim about the chat on your site, your use of leads, your content, or your breach of these terms or the law.

We will give you notice when it is practical. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by us or imposes an obligation on us without our written consent. We may join in the defense with counsel of our own choice at our own expense.

15. Suspension and ending the service

You may cancel as section 9 describes. We may suspend or end access, including the widget, if you do not pay, if you break these terms, if we must do so to comply with law, or if continuing would create a security or safety risk. We will say why when it is reasonable and lawful.

When access ends, your license ends. Visitor information is deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy. We may keep account, billing, agreement, and security records as that policy describes. Sections that by their nature should survive do survive, including fees owed, content licenses needed for backups, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law.

16. Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. The date at the top is the version that applies. If you do not agree, cancel before you keep using the service. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. The copy stored at signup is the version you accepted then.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We will not charge you for a period that was not disclosed before you paid.

17. Export and sanctions

You may not use, export, or re-export the service in violation of U.S. export or sanctions law. You represent that you are not barred from dealing with U.S. persons and that you are not located in a jurisdiction subject to a comprehensive U.S. embargo.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Washington State have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to them. To the extent the law allows, you and Quicklook waive a jury trial, and each claim must be brought on an individual basis and not as a class, collective, or representative action.

The prevailing party in a proceeding to enforce these terms may recover its reasonable attorneys’ fees from the other party, to the extent the law allows.

19. General

  • These terms are the entire agreement for Quicklook Chat, together with the Privacy Policy and a signed agreement that says it controls. They are the full agreement for self-serve use.
  • If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent required, and the rest stays in effect.
  • A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • You may not assign these terms without our consent, except to a successor of the whole business. We may assign them in a merger, acquisition, or sale of the service.
  • We are independent contractors. Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, or fiduciary duty. The assistant is not your legal representative.
  • Neither party is liable for a delay caused by events outside its reasonable control, including an outage of Google, Stripe, or the connected website. This does not excuse amounts you already owe.
  • Notices to you may be sent to the account email. Notices to us go to the address in section 20.
  • These terms do not create rights for any person other than you and Quicklook, except the indemnified people in section 14.

What these terms do not do

They do not replace the quicklook.dev terms for that site. They do not make an AI answer an offer by you or by us. They do not make Quicklook your lawyer or your visitor’s contracting party. They do not give you ownership of the software.
